About The Position

We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Operations to join our Headquarters Operations team.

This role will be responsible for leading and aligning production, engineering, and operational excellence activities across the organization, while driving scalability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the production and engineering departments, including chemical and mechanical operations across all production stages. 
  • Lead process and mechanical engineering, maintenance, EHS, and project management teams. 
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. 
  • Monitor key KPIs such as OTD and FPY and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement. 
  • Oversee major projects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery aligned with operational goals. 
  • Lead scale-up initiatives, including layout and process development, machinery procurement, and capability expansion. 
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards (ISO, IATF) and apply tools such as PFD and FMEA. 
  • Collaborate with R&D and product teams on NPI, ensuring necessary process and equipment adaptations. 
  • Mentor and develop department managers to foster a high-performance, collaborative environment. 
  • Build organizational structures and develop employees to support operational goals. 
  • Plan and monitor budgets, implementing cost saving measures across equipment, processes, and materials.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in production and engineering management
  • Experience in roll-to-roll production processes—considered a strong advantage
  • Proven experience in managing comprehensive technological projects. 
  • Strong command of budget planning, monitoring, and cost management practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in Lean methodologies and associated tools
  • Solid knowledge of industry quality standards (ISO, IATF) and local EHS regulations
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)
